Description General John Breckinridge Castleman is depicted in civilian's clothes atop a trotting horse. The horse is modeled after Castleman's prized Saddlebred, Caroline.
Provenance Sculpture was funded by Kentucky citizens in honor of Castleman who was a Confederate soldier and an early developer of the city park system in Louisville.
